Pen on paper, in about 60 seconds. The guest keeps the original. Perfect for trade fairs, evening events and weddings.
Phil Splash draws people. Since 2010 in the Munich metro, today at trade fairs, corporate events and weddings all over Europe. More than 80,000 portraits so far. His goal: one million.
Not a give-away, an experience. Phil sits down with your guests, takes a short look, and a minute later everyone holds their own portrait. People talk about it at the booth, in the office and on Instagram.

Phil draws on the iPad Pro, and every stroke appears on the screen at the same time. The whole room watches a face come to life. The guest gets the file right away.

A large motif is painted in acrylic in front of the audience, to music, in about an hour. Afterwards a painting stays with you, for the office, the lobby or the couple’s hallway.

In 2010 the communication design graduate starts drawing fellow passengers in the Munich metro on his way to work. First a pastime, then a passion. He shows strangers their portraits and gives them away. The joy of the people he draws turns the exercise into a project, and the project into a profession. Newspaper reports are followed by bookings for Audi, MAC Cosmetics and Campari.

If you can draw someone in a minute, you get talking more easily. Sketching trips lead to Cannes, Miami Beach, Colombo, Zurich, Vienna, Milano Marittima, Mykonos, Sydney, Ibiza, Istanbul and Doha. Landscapes and customs change, one thing stays the same: art connects across every border.

Art often holds an elitist position in our society. Phil Splash chooses the opposite. Art must be affordable and fit the people. So works are created not only after his own ideas but also to the wishes of his customers, directly from the artist, without the detour through galleries.

Thousands of portraits from the metro, from trade fairs, cafés and the street. Each one made in a minute, each one belongs to someone.
